One of the best southern mysteries I’ve read in the last couple of years. Beautifully drawn characters and great suspense throughout. It captivated me from the second chapter and held my attention until the very last page.
I literally started this book on a Friday and finished it early Sunday morning… which is UNHEARD OF for me these days.
I highly recommend for mystery readers who are looking for exciting new authors.

This book was a little too bloody and gory for me, but I couldn’t put it down. I love Trey Fontaine, though he does have a weakness for drugs, and love Gemini, who has become one of my favorite heroines.

This is my kind of book. Revenge. Vigilante Justice. Characters who are far from perfect. I can relate. The mystery was more psychological than the typical mystery on the shelf. Works for me.

A thriller in it’s finest. I like a good mystery and you find it every step of the way here. You are drawn into southern Louisiana with it’s sordid, full of depth characters. Special Agent Trey Fontaine goes back to his hometown where things heat up rather fast.
Great read.

Superb psychological thriller. Islington created a cast of diverse, intricate characters that captured my attention from the start and didn’t let go. The suspenseful plot was masterfully woven with several unique twists that I believe all readers would enjoy. I would highly recommend this book!
