BOOK REVIEW: #One For The Money by Janet Evanovich

#Review by Ryder Islington

Reading this book was so much fun! Mind you, I read it when it first came out, but
One For The Money is a keeper and worth reading anytime you’re having a bad week. Ms. Evanovich has a wicked sense of #humor and it shows in this first novel in the #Stephanie Plum series.

Welcome to Trenton, where Stephanie, a young woman with some major problems, is about to do something crazy. Her love life sucks. Her car sucks. Her life sucks. But Stephanie is not one to give up. She worms her way into a job as a Fugitive Recovery Agent, also known as a bounty hunter. With no experience, and no self-defense training, she is pitted against a cop wanted for murder. And not just any cop. Detective Morelli was her first…well…let’s just leave it at that.

And no one can review this book without mentioning #Grandma Mazur, Stephanie’s spandex-wearing, man-chasing, gossip-mongering granny. This woman can get in trouble going to a funeral, which is where she goes to chase men, and collect gossip. She’s the only woman I know who shoots the chicken after it’s cooked!

For any reader of , #mysteries, comedies, romance, or just Plum crazy writing, you’ll love this book!

  1. I agree, Ryder, I loved this book. Unfortunately, the new movie by the same name doesn’t do it justice. I didn’t find there was any chemistry between Stephanie, Joe or Ranger, unlike in the book.

Yes, this is a laugh out loud book. I listened to the audio book… and yes, I really did laugh out loud! I am looking forward to seeing the movie!
