#Ryder’s Journal–Wednesday August 17 2011

The theme of this journal is the dilemma that authors face after we are published. Our job doubles. Now we have to write and we have to promote.

Got 1000 words done on the WIP. Not great words, but words. I solved the problem with the last of the characters who gave me problems with the character sketch. I was needing to find the perfect background and the perfect cover for a woman who is searching for her missing daughter. With that puzzle piece in place, the plot gets from A to Z. Granted it’s a really scant plot. But for someone who has never been a plotter, it works.

A thousand words a day would be great. I have no plans for tomorrow except to rest, and to write, so maybe I can make that goal. Wish me luck.
